Overview
Laidlaw & Company has nearly two centuries of experience as an independent investment banking and securities brokerage firm, serving domestic and international clients including emerging companies, institutions, and private investors.The goal of this project was to modernize their digital presence by creating a clean, professional, and user-friendly website that reflects Laidlaw’s heritage and expertise while enabling easy content management for the internal team. The site needed to highlight services, leadership, recent transactions, and regulatory compliance in a way that is intuitive for both existing and prospective clients.
Challenge
Presenting complex financial and corporate information (services, transactions, divisions) in a clean, navigable way, while maintaining brand trust and professionalism.Ensuring the website is fully responsive and optimized for performance across regions (US, UK, Europe) and for mobile devices.Migrating content into Elementor templates so that internal staff could update news, transactions and service descriptions without heavy developer intervention.Balancing the need for a strong visual identity (heritage, credibility) with modern web design standards.
Solution
Modular design system: We created reusable Elementor templates for key page types (Homepage, About, Services, Transactions) with a consistent header/footer, typography and color scheme aligned with Laidlaw’s brand.Simplified navigation & content hierarchy: We structured the site so that crucial sections (About, Our Divisions, Contact, News) are easily accessible, and users land quickly on key messages such as “Exclusivity, Execution & Access”.Performance & responsiveness: Implemented optimized image handling, lazy-loading where appropriate, and tested across mobile, tablet and desktop to ensure a fast and consistent experience.Client-friendly CMS: With Elementor, the internal Laidlaw team can now update the “Latest Transactions”, “News”, and leadership profiles themselves, reducing ongoing developer maintenance.
